Hi, I'm McKayla Sweet!

I’m a graduate of the NSCC professional photography program and am currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I can speak French fluently and have the DELF B2 certificate and would be able to converse in that language on a shoot if need be.

I never knew what I wanted to do when I got out of school, but in my grade 12 year of high school, I took a class called multi-media. During that class we did different things with technology, like animation and graphic design, but the one that really stuck with me was photography. I want to be able to capture the special moments in time that you’ll never see again, and evoke emotion through my photos.

Right now my favourite type of photography to take, and the type of photography I offer, is nature and animal photography. I also offer portrait photography, which I would say is my next favourite, I love how I can make people feel even a bit more self-confident with my photos.
